Privacy Policy: Equaliser Backdrop for YouTube
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Equaliser Backdrop for YouTube does not collect, store, sell or transmit any personal data or browsing data.
What the extension does on your device
It runs only on youtube.com. On video pages it analyses the video's audio and colours locally in your browser to draw the equaliser. This analysis happens entirely on your device, and no audio, video or page content is recorded or sent anywhere.
What is stored
Your equaliser settings (on/off, display position, style, fill or outline, opacity, height, sensitivity and colour mode) are saved in your browser's extension storage so they persist between sessions. They never leave your browser.
Third parties
The extension uses no analytics, advertising or third-party services.
